    Nice pics.

I had one of those little cats threaten me from the top of a chain link fence as I ran by once,
back in the day when I ran.

Did you take up running before the cat threatened you or was it after.........................

I can't take credit for the pics a young friend of mine has been putting trail cameras out since spring and these are a few of what he's got.

Those are great....your friend has done well.

I normally have two cameras during the fall/winter and have the usual countless coons, possum, deer, turkey etc...but here are a few that are a little more unusual.

Blue Jays eating road kill rabbit, they always seem to go for the eyes first.

    Red Fox

and a Great Horned that apparently didn't care for the infrared...

Every once in a while I hear someone sound surprised to hear that squirrels eat meat...I'll try to dig that one up. Pretty revealing.

Great pics! Love the red fox.

I think I posted this one before: This was in my backyard.

Some of you may have seen these previously. These are from my bait pile Autumn 2011.

Nice to have some of that in your back yard. Wow.

As for the evidence that squirrels will eat meat:

Here's one chowing down on a barn pigeon....

and another eating a dead muskrat.

Funny thing, there's a small pond in a wooded area off to the left and I saw these two rats a day or two earlier just ripping up the ground something fierce, grass and snow flying all over from 30-40 yards away. Been after them (I trap like crap apparently) since the summer and just happened to carry the .17 HMR that day. They had come out from under the ice through the side of the pond. Shot the one, the second one feeding within a foot of him/her never moved. Kept tearing up the ground...easy shooting that day.

Anyway, this is a schmorgasborg coyote pile that hasn't really drawn in many dogs. A few, not that many though. Kind of surprised.

I've caught more than a few tree rats in weasel sets, using muskrat meat for bait. Didn't think to set up a trail camera.

A grey squirrel's diet will consist of 15%-18% protein, and usually this is supplied by young birds in the nest, small snakes, frogs and lizards and insects. Road kill would be unusual I think, but can't be ruled out.
