ZEE, Ernie, looks like I get to be the Guinea Pig.

Just picked up a Diamondback DB9. Won't be able to get to the range for a little while, but when I do, I'll report back to tell how she ran.

Be thorough.
Nice looking piece BTW
Their boats are fine pieces of machinery. I prefer Air Gator and Alumitech (same company, Alumitech is the more industrial side) but that's partially because my Dad knew the founder of Air Gator.
The Diamondback mechanism is more Glock-like without the trigger flipper.
Eli, yup...gotta let us know how it shoots...especially JHP stuff.

The manual says don't fire any +P out of it and I can see why. The one area that raises a smidgen of concern is the thickness of the barrel/wall. The wall is about the same thickness as the barrel on my .25acp Beretta 950. I'm not a fan on +P ammo in general, so I didn't have any intentions of running any through it anyway, but this is the first gun that I've owned that specifically states "ta not to."
At the end of the day, my intention for this is to be a 9mm backup gun that rides in the pocket easier than a J-Frame and rides the pocketbook easier than a Rohrbaugh R9. I THINK that it'll serve my purpose, but only range time will tell. Will report back when I have some rounds through it.
Customer service was excellent, but that was Pre-Taurus.
It's funny you mention the Rorhbaugh. I was on the verge of ordering one when I bought the DB9...big mistake. Since then I've decided a Kahr CM9 is small enough and they have a much better trigger than the DB9 anyway...
Also be aware that the magazines in the DB9s are spotty on quality. Some feed, some don't.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.
:-)
I'm sure it would work once.

Depends on whether or not you ENJOY picking pieces out of you skin. Personally I've been through that whole experience once.....and that was one time too many. :tooth:
Seriously though, I wouldn't run anything more than standard through it. Just don't think it would end well.
