Why do we keep electing them?

I had had this conversation with Debbie just last weekend as I bet her that Bobby Rush would get reelected to another term as the congressman representing Illinois's first district. He's an absolute nutcase and a convicted criminal but his district is the south side of Chicago where they love him and will reelect him forever. Same thing with Kenneth Stokes from Jackson Mississippi, and lest we forget about Marion Barry, the former mayor of our capital, who did jail time for coke and a few other things and got reelected after he got out of jail.

Donne Trotter who was convicted of a misdemeanor for taking a gun and ammo (the gun was unloaded but was next to a loaded mag) into an airport. He got court supervision and 60 hours community service most of which he will do talking GUN SAFETY. And after 12 months, he can have it expunged from his record. Oh yeah, the 60 year old state senator wasn't charged with illegally carrying the gun because apparently he moonlights as an armed security guard.
