Finish is much better than I expected. I won't be able to shoot it for a few weeks but it appears to be of quality and worth the price. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1375315894.209108.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1375315903.754975.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1375315915.321099.jpg

    Admittedly I'm a bit jealous!

    Looks good Matt.
Sad to say, I've had mine for over a month and haven't been able to get to the range yet. As soon as school's out though, I'm gonna see how she runs.

So how does the Commies answer to our 5.56/.223 stack up ballistics wise?

5.56 is faster but 5.45 tends to tumble better and not fragment like the 5.56. 5.45 gives up a little penetration to the 5.56 when using heavier weight 5.56 rounds. 5.45 can generally be had for about 1/2 to 1/3 of the cost of 5.56 when buying in bulk. That right there gives it a huge advantage for something so ballistically similar. Both rounds can be had in the top 2 platforms so if you prefer 5.45 but want an AR it is no problem. AK variants are also available in 5.56 but kind of pointless unless you already have a bunch of AR's and 5.56 considering it was made for the 5.45 and the cost difference.

I will be sticking with irons. This was an impulse buy that I don't want to sink money into.

Of course, I said that about my AR, two different bolt guns, 1911s... Never mind the fact that a certain enabler has had me casually on the lookout for a good deal on a .350 Remington...

Get the mojo peep to replace the stock unit. Your groups will shrink to half. Stock AK sights are horrible. I am in the process of replacing them on all of mine except my yugos that came with night sights.

Nice! I have been casually interested in the -74, But I REALLY don't need another caliber to stockpile.

Oh, it is worth mentioning that I convinced a friend of mine to buy one as well.
