Quick prayer request

A firefighter who started his career under me is going in tomorrow for his second surgery for thyroid cancer. Matt is a damn good guy and even though he started his career after me, I am proud to say it was an honor to work along side him and have learned quite a bit from him. I will be going to visit him after his surgery and will report his condition. I am a little uneasy about this one. Any support would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Just left the hospital. He has a few drainage tube coming out of his neck and other than the drugs they had him on, he was good. We joked around about old times for a bit. He will be in the hospital until Thursday. Thanks again for all the kind words and thoughts and prayers.

Just got off the phone with Matt today. The bandages are off and he is doing much better today. Looks like he will be in the hospital till Thursday.

Hey guys, if you are still checking in on this we might need a few more prayers. Seems like he has a chyle leak that is causing him some difficulty breathing. He said if it doesn't fix itself they will have to call in a thoracic team to clamp off his kile artery. Doesn't sound super serious, but we aren't out of the woods just yet. Thanks guys.
