Just left the hospital, Matt is doing much better today. The leaking has mostly stopped and he is able to talk and breath with little difficulty. Hoping to be out of the hospital by Sunday.

Matt is in surgery right now. They have not been able to stop the leak in his neck even after a second surgery Saturday. This time they have deflated one of his lungs and are going in to clamp off the artery at the source. Any prayers will be appreciated. Thank you.

Good news today. Other than being tired and cranky, Matt is doing much better. The leak is now stopped and he had real food today. He is sore as hell after this surgery, but is recovering. I can't imagine the pain of waking up after having a lung deflated. Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. It makes one humble to see so many people who are willing to stop everything they are doing for someone they have never met.

I left work today to go to the hospital. They took the chest tube out today and there was a lot of fluid that came out. This is routine for the procedure but the didn't bother telling Matt that. He called and asked if I could come down so he wasn't by himself. Got there and he is doing much better. At a Thai place down the street getting him some real food now.
