How many studies do we need before the Libs get it?

At least one more it seems.

International evidence and comparisons have long been offered
as proof of the mantra that more guns mean more deaths and that
fewer guns, therefore, mean fewer deaths.1 Unfortunately, such
discussions are all too often been afflicted by misconceptions and
factual error and focus on comparisons that are unrepresentative.
It may be useful to begin with a few examples. There is a compound
assertion that (a) guns are uniquely available in the United
States compared with other modern developed nations, which is
why (b) the United States has by far the highest murder rate.
Though these assertions have been endlessly repeated, statement
(b) is, in fact, false and statement (a) is substantially so.

    Oops..didn't see this.

Well DUH! We have known this for years, but interesting about foreign countries where guns don't cause an increase in murder/suicide rates.

Dang can you believe anti-2A gun-grabbers are spewing lies about America being the most violent ridden country because of guns.

Jay said it perfectly. Liberals will never "get it" because facts don't matter to them. Their mantra or core beliefs are their own truths, facts never get in their way.

Frankly, regarding ownership of guns or countries with few guns not having lots of crime, that's changing rapidly because many of these formerly peaceful and stable democracies have now a huge influx of jobless and shiftless bums who are criminals in the works. Countries like England and France are among them, a surge in street crime that's not going to disappear.

Point is, I don't CARE if some gun-less countries have less street crime than we do. We have our own country with its own specific problems (here, the major problem is an enormous class of low income, low education, and low morality people, either born here or immigrant) and we've got to deal with it our own way.

Who knows? Ten years from now, we might see countries like France re-arming its citizens by relaxing personal ownership regulations. The citizens may simply demand it. Reason I mention France is that we often gig the French as being surrender monkeys and wusses but that's pretty recent, post-WWI, due mostly to the carnage among its young men and war damage to the land. Prior to that, France was an aggressive and fairly successful war power.

I've been to France 3 times and met many regular folks there. They're well educated, reasonable, and not very socialist-minded like Scandinavians. And very independently minded. It really wouldn't take long for the French everyday citizen to become fed up with crime and force changes in the laws.

Heck, maybe we in the USA will be the new leaders in re-arming citizens! We'll all have great new and high-paid consulting jobs, flying to other countries to teach handgun classes! ha ha

WHY do we keep falling into the liberal, totalitarian-progressive trap of mixing gun control with crime? How many times do I have to say it, liberals are liars, they lie all the time, and they lie about everything. Everything a liberal does is for a hidden, unspoken agenda. The reason he gives for his agenda is for public consumption by low-information sheeple. Like gun control. The given intent is for the reduction of crime, for the enhancement of public safety, and, of course, for the children. AND WE FALL FOR IT, EVERY TIME. We trot out the facts and stats, the endless studies, even the anecdotal cases that support the right to keep and bear arms and the right to self defense, as if they had anything to do with it.

Gun control is not about public safety. It is about control. The sooner we reject getting involved in arguments meant to divert the debate from the truth, the sooner we confront the true goal and agenda. We need to expose gun control as merely one tentacle of a gigantic octopus whose intent is the radical transformation of this country. Arguments against gun control must include linking it with internationalism, multi-culturalism, socialism and the redistribution of earned wealth to the undeserving and ungrateful. Gun control must be linked with opposition to Constitutional government and the Bill of Rights, and opposition to the concept of a nation of laws and not of men.

People who support gun control almost always support a lot of other goals and objectives opposed to personal liberty and opportunity. They call us "gun freaks" and get away with it because we haven't yet learned to call them "control freaks" or, more accurately, "oppression freaks." We need to find the language that pop culture can use to correctly define people who support gun control, and more important, links them inextricably to a host of other evil intentions. "Low-Information people" is perhaps a beginning, but we still need to ramp it up a bit.

I wanna see a separation of Liberals from Democrats.

Most if the old line conservative Dummycraps are long since dead. Most if not all their leadership are staunchly liberal. Liberalism is like alchoholism, it is a disease.
