Just a tid-bit of useless info.........

Got dope in this rifle at 300 yards today with the A-Max. I will say, this is the first cartridge to leave divots in my hardened steel targets by MGM at 300 yards. I was somewhat surprised and unhappy. Those "match" bullets got some umph to'em!

On a side note, the Hornady Ballistic calculator was spot on at 300.

Up 2 MOA and it was dead center.

I am devoutly in love with this rifle/cartridge!!!

    So, what's gonna replace the 21? A 23?

Edit: I'm carrying my G23 right now. Would be a great choice.

Screw Efficiency. This isn't a round that you would sit at a bench and shoot hundreds of rounds tweeking and searching. It's a long range hunter. You only want to find that one load that will give you maximum velocity for accuracy where you can kill big animals in the next Zip Code. Once you get that, it isn't like you will be out shooting it to practice. Once you get what you want and have recorded all your info, you have an excellent round in an accurate rifle that you can be confident will bring home the bacon. You're not going to worry about how much velocity you get per grain of powder. You get there where you want to be and don't worry about all that. It I what it is. But will Zap anything within your limitation that you can hit. If this was a bench rifle or something you would be shooting a few times a month I could see trying to optimize efficiency. But for something you're only going to shoot at game once in a while it's not worth worrying about.
