    Because Internet.

Seriously, have you ever read the comments on youtube gun videos, or any of the blogs if there is a picture or video that is mposted and someone thinks there might have been a safety violation? The cries of "Safety Check!" or "Boogerhook/Bangswitch!!" are deafening.

A while ago, one of the bloggers posted a pic of a non-shooter having a ball with one of those Bug-A-Salt guns that shoots a pinch of salt to kill flies. There were PAGES of prople calling her an idiot for having her finger on the trigger.

That's why. Because people want to prove they know more than an 'expert'
We have a name for those folk in the UK, we call them 'Walts'. He who 'shouts' loudest usually knows f**k all and is a non shooter generally. I find it best to ignore them.
Personally I leave the bolt closed: but then I don't photograph my kills let alone post on the internet what I kill as I find that the anti's use it for their twisted propaganda.
Besides, everything that falls under my bullet is destined to end up in the pot, feeding my family. That's how I justify my sport.

Should I just start listing all the "awkward" actions I do with a loaded gun on a regular basis? All without "Negligent" discharge, mind you.

i think he could be a contributor but he seems to have a fixation on what he calls a "Real Man", whatever that means.

He's got that whole gun = penis thing going in a bad way....

Does that include the 10mm I have in a holster on my hip when hunting?

Yep! Fences are killers...I always disarm, unload, field strip and toss the parts over the fence before I attempt crossing....

It's only awkward when you make eye contact.

Is that why you won't look at me anymore?

Reminds me of fly fisherman who must pose with their poles hold their poles with their mouth. (funny but true)

btw... The next fly guy in a float tube who cries and whines about my kids using barbed hooks or taking trout is going to have some emergency patching to do in a hurry.

You silly man, O has no coupons in it. The latest issue does have a great article about making your own paper doilies for the holidays...
A real man does that with a 12 gauge and 7 1/2 shot...

You are just three hairs away from being a caveman...

True dat. Everyone knows you use #6 shot for the small holes and #4 for the big holes. And to save time you load your own shotshells with both #6 and #4 to save time.

    That made me smile.
Christmas must be a blast at your place if dead relatives rock up to enjoy the festive season. (That's how I read it anyway)
