Wait, WHAT?!!! Where was THAT golden nugget when I NEEDED it?! I see how it is. Keep the IMPORTANT stuff from the LITTLE guy. Well, that's just great!!!

it's Gun and Ammo dot com......it's a firearm based website......we have a General forum, a Personal Defense forum (which was recently instituted to separate from the General) A Political forum (Again to keep political ire out of the General subjects), and a Clubhouse section for us to be jackwagons to each other. I see no problem in instituting a reloading section.......it's not like G&A gets paid by the post anyway......so what's the problem? It might even inspire some people to post their recipes and knowledge. I've learned more about black powder shooting just from Teach and Tenmike than I would've from most other forums, and I don't even shoot black powder yet!
God show's mercy on drunks and dumb animals.........two outa three ain't a bad score!
I don't think a separate reloading section is really necessary. I don't reload (yet), so it is unlikely I would check out that section. If it stays in the General Firearms section, I'm much more likely to read it. I already have some plans for when I do start, simply because of threads here.

It's simple. Too many sections and not only does it get cluttered, but stuff WILL get ignored.
What he said.
The problem as I see it is that when you have too/two/tu/2/II many subsections it 'fragments ' the members in that some will only join for a particular reason....and ignore other subsections.
At the moment we are like a big happy dysfunctional family and we all 'chip' in when a thread starts up...........even if it is just to poke fun or hijack it............
In order of reading, top of my list is General, followed by Hunting, Clubhouse, 2A/Political and then Personal Defense. (The only reason why PD is at the bottom of the list is cos you guys have the chance to defend yourselves with handguns and I have to use a blunt stick.)............but I still read every new post in PD.
Still enjoying the trip of a lifetime and making the best of what I have.....
I don't think it would get ignored, I think it would be easier to find info rather than a thread getting buried in the General section........granted I don't advocate too much compartmentalizing like Ar-15 or 24hr Campfire, but I see y'alls point. Just one more section and simply call it Reload.
God show's mercy on drunks and dumb animals.........two outa three ain't a bad score!
And between pdogs and competition, it trashed my retirement, too!

i don't have the rich man's pocketbook where I would ever collect classic cars or something but i do like to play golf, so I've spent some serious folding money on drivers, etc.
But i can think of no other hobby or interest that can suck up so much cash for the average working stiff. For pretty much anything I might ever do I have everything I'd ever need. And still I've got a dozen different things I've got my mind on that I want. Or that in my mind I need.
Really, the only thing I need is to hit the Powerball. lol

:spittingcoffee: Save money on ammunition! I wish! Reloading does let you shoot more with the same money, but you end up shooting a LOT more eventually. And then the bullet casting bug bites you. :silly: And you discover you can make your own gas checks for your cast bullets (I got some new dies coming for a couple of new calibers, and you can use your reloading press to make them). And bullet casting leads to getting into black powder rifles and pistols! :rotflmao:
Seriously, once you start reloading, you will kick yourself for not starting it sooner.

More shooting for the same amount of money=saving money. Kind of like buying in bulk stuff that I'm going to use anyways. At least, that's how I'm going to justify it in my mind. :jester:

As to the original post- Maybe. We are looking at a couple of changes in the near future. Just have to make sure no one trips over the power cord and crashes the whole darn thing again.
