    Wow. The most amazing thing is how long it took those geniuses to figure out that a thousand tons of ice on the move can break things.

    Did a Google search, and it appears that isn't all that uncommon on the Great Lakes shorelines. Looks like a good excuse to build a strong wall to protect the house.
