Participating in a gun buy back program because you think that criminals have too many guns is like having yourself castrated because you think your neighbors have too many kids.... Clint Eastwood

Wow, $10,000 Glocks...............I do like this collection or what they showed of it. Too bad they have their heads up kangaroo butt with their silly gun laws down under.

"Among the 328 weapons were military-style automatic rifles, some of which were worth up to $50,000 each, and Glock handguns worth $10,000, police said."

Not bad at all. I see that at least 2 in the photo are pellet rifles. I am not buying that whole $50k military rifles and $10k Glocks either. It sounds like for the most part, the only thing that made those guns illegal were stupid Australian gun laws.

Looks like the majority of the ones in that picture are bolt actions.

It sounds as if their "newspersons" are even more ignorant than the ones in the U.S.....few things more stupid than the anti-gun press...

I really like this idea of the government "audit" on my firearms. I'm sure it would only be used for the common good.

They're sending out confiscation notices in Noo Yawk, too. Iff'n it holds more than 7 rounds, no matter what it is, it's on the confiscation list. Nothing like registration lists to know where to go a knockin'.

I saw something yesterday where a man was having to do something about 3 of his .22 rifles. The letter I read was from NY and it told him they were illegal and listed his mags because they held more than 7 rounds.

Edited to add.....The letter I saw yesterday was the one in Six-guns thread.

OH MY GOD! NOT TELESCOPIC LENSES! Oh, the horror!:yikes:

    From the article:
"military-style guns such as AK-47s, MP5 sub-machine guns and rifles featuring telescopic lenses"

That was one of the things that jumped out at me also. Just shows the ignorance of the reporter.
