It is a JP Sauer & Sohn 202 Forest chambered in .308 totally awesome shooting rifle. They are made in Germany and are fantastically built. One of the finest rifles I own. The mag is a 5 round single stack.
Looks like fun. Do you have another stand set up over the "pig graveyard" so that you can shoot coyotes that come to feed?
There is a stand about 100 yards from there but it hasn't been used in years, we had a few rounds come zining by from the neighbors place and haven't hunted that blind since.

It's a good meat lease. We don't really get any wall hangers but we do get plenty of meat and have a lot of fun.
It has been a lot of work with years of management with several years of only harvesting 1 deer per year, then a couple years ago moving up to 2 deer a piece. This was all done to build the population. We now see deer just about every time we get in the blind and the quality of the deer are getting better. Shooting every pig we see also helps and it's fun hunting too!

Thanks, that was my "always wanted a really nice bolt gun" rifle. I am super happy with it.

The boss is here, along with her much missed presence she brought a bounty of good eats and my muts which I kinda been missing too. Just did a test fire of the double rifle in 47/70 and it is dead on so if I see something within 100 yards I'm going to give her a chance to draw some blood.
She brought her hunting vehicle with her. Here is her ranch buggy LOL...yep she's a true country girl,
NOT! I'm just glad she loves me enough

Well finished out the week at the ranch with 3 pigs and a coyote taken. I saw a lot of deer, the stupid turkeys are coming to the feeders twice a day just begging to be shot. I wish I had seen more varmints but they were just not out when I was. I had an awesome week in spite of being sick and stumbling around with a bum leg.
A few pics of the place.
