Need a new Red Dot for AR

I have finally decided to purchase a good red dot sight for my AR. Right now I am looking at the Aimpoint M2, M3, Comp M4, or one of the Micro Red Dots for the AR. This gun is a HD rifle and I want something that is going to last for a long, long, time. It is going to be a buy once, cry once, type of thing. Thanks in advance for your help!

Excellent brand choice! The advantage of the Comp M4 is that it uses a AA battery and lasts forever. Micro's are nice because they are small and light. Whichever one you decide on, you can't go wrong.

For however much its worth, I would get a Comp M4 because that is what I am the most used to.

I have the Comp M3, M4, and Micro. Of the three, I like the Comp M4 the best with the Micro a second. I prefer the battery life, FOV, battery availability, and 1 MOA dot of the M4. That's what I have on my HD carbine as well as one work gun. If I was to try and go lightweight, the Micro would get the nod.
