T minus 15 hours until the start of my hunt. Physically still at work, mentally I'm already in the hills.

Good deal, and good luck. I'm only a couple days behind you.

Best of luck to you, pardog. Hunt 'em hard.

No deer yesterday but I did get to take my son out and spend some time teaching him how to look for sign and stay quiet (still a work in progress). It was especially cool because my dad was there and we had 3 generations together on the hunt. Too many obligations today, but will try again tomorrow.

The deer won this year. I did pass on a few smaller bucks. There was some weird weather this year that didn't help much. The hunt started out hot (it was 103 one afternoon when I left my house) which kept most of the big bucks up high where I just couldn't get to and ended with 3 days of heavy rain. All in all I had a great time. I got to spend time in the mountains and with my dad and my son. Saw lots of beautiful country, and lots of wildlife (deer, turkeys, falcon, rattlesnake, etc). I love hunting.
