I think off-duty cops should be allowed to carry at NFL games and so should anyone else with a CCW. Sorry their butts ain't more precious than mine or yours. I see their point, but what's good fer the goose should be good fer the gander too!

"Two Minnesota police organizations have sued the National Football League, claiming that a policy prohibiting guns in football stadiums violates a state law by infringing on the right of off-duty cops to carry weapons."

Hey, there's a simple solution- - - -they don't have to go to the games! If I ever want to rob a bank in Alabama, I'm going to do it during the Iron Bowl! Every cop from all the surrounding counties and virtually all the state troopers are at the game! Take a look at both coaches' security squads!

    :agree:

I'm pretty sure they can't carry on a commercial airline flight either. Even if it's within their jurisdiction. Are they going to sue the TSA?
    That's all I got.

    Ban football.

    Convert stadiums to smallbore ranges.

Guns in stadium - no longer a problem.

Ranges need to be outlawed. Don't you realize people shoot real firearms with live ammunition there! How can this be allowed in a "progressive" society!

I don't carry when I go to games here, but the thing is, inside the stadium may be relatively 'safe', but getting to and from the stadium, you're on your own. If there is a place that I can check the firearm at the gate and pick it up on my way out, that would be satisfactory for me.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, unless I'm facing a metal detector, x-ray scanner, or otherwise certain discovery such as in a hospital ER, I'm carrying my gun - prohibiting signs notwithstanding. I long ago made a political decision that my personal safety trumps any and all property rights. But don't worry - because I only carry concealed, hoplophobes will never know.

The problem is gun owners do not seemed to understand the word "Concealed". If you are unable to hid your weapon from public view you should not carry a weapon.

Somehow I can't see how security is going to have a problem with off duty LEOs attending games armed unless they are exceeding silly about it.

Many times local LEOs can walk up to security at a game with valid LE creds. etc... and starts asking if they have seen such and such a perp and they will be asked in.
