The only reason a tie would be uncomfortable is if your shirt is too small around the neck.
Yea, yea - I hear that excuse all the time. Point is, ANY shirt that's buttoned up to where a necktie would fit is too tight and too hot.
I want at least a 3 inch gap below my Adam's Apple for ventilation. Preferably a lot more, like a fairly deep V - or collarless. Ventilation and room to show off necklaces.
Don't get me started on the stupid wool jacket that goes along with the ensemble!

...do you collect? I like inexpensive watches and fountain pens. I do have a few rather nice watches and pens, but I really enjoy the less expensive ones more because I can use them all I want without consideration for their value. Unfortunately, being a senior citizen, I have also inadvertently collected quite an assortment of prescription meds. Oh well.

I wore Walmart tighty whiteys for damn near 40 years. Switching to bikini cut was a big step. Even if I win a bazillion dollars in the lottery, I won't buy drawers at any other place than Wally's Fine Apparel. I KNOW what I do in my drawers. Ain't no sense in messing up fancy britches.

Still enjoying the trip of a lifetime and making the best of what I have.....
I collect Fine Writing Instruments, or as most would call them Pens. Mostly Fountain Pens, but a few of everything from Monte Grappa, of course Mont Blanc, an d a few from Pelikan, Lamy along with a few Parkers and Sheaffers and a few lesser known makers.

Good Lord, does someone have a chisel to chip this image off the brain cells it was burned into? That get-up looks like the mark of a transves-tie-te

1800s US currency and Congressional dollars, watches, fixed blade stabbies, to name a few.
ETA: Oh and I LOVE finely machined mechanical "things" from the 50s and 60s aerospace era...but I don't indulge much with that.... is so cheap it could get out of hand.... fast.

Several years ago,I let one of my sons use my Mont Blanc to draw with while we were eating at an Applebee's. I left without getting it. Someone in Starkville, MS has a very nice pen and probably doesn't know it.
I have a collection of comic books from the mid 60s to mid 90s. Nothing as valuable as Sam's Amazing Fantasy but I'm sure the collection as a whole is worth quite a bit. I haven't actively collected in 20 years though, just have them stored away. Stopped adding to it when my meager earnings couldn't keep up with comic prices. Never got into collecting anything else besides guns. Well, there's x - girlfriends but I've learned to let them go. Should probably let go of my assortment of ties to since I don't have enough to make a skirt.
