Had a hard day yesterday

coolgunguycoolgunguy Posts: 6,637 Senior Member
Prayers, kind thoughts, etc. are kindly requested...

My youngest brother's father in law went into the hospital yesterday. Get a call from mom, telling me things don't look good and asking for prayers. She texted about a half an hour later to tell me her brother had collapsed and passed away of apparent heart attack. My uncle John was a truly good guy and he will be dearly missed. I'll post an obit when I get a chance. Suffice it to say he was a positive influence on me from a young age. Got another call a few hours later to let me know that lil bro's FIL had passed. Right on the heels of that, I hear that a business acquaintance/friend also passed yesterday. Had me reeling there for a while.

Wow, man, sorry to hear. Almost the same thing happened to my former girlfriend a few years ago. She got a call her mom had died (the woman was in her 80s) and although it wasn't a big surprise, to hear it was a rough thing. And then, as she was preparing to go to Ohio for the funeral, her older brother died of a sudden heart seizure. Then, 3 weeks later, her sister died.

Really knocked her off her feet for a long time, so I can understand the difficulty you're going through. Kindest thoughts to you and yours.

Wow, three together. Same sort of thing happened a few years ago to my former girlfriend. She lost her mother (which was expected), then in the same week, her elder sister and her brother in law too.
