US flag "threat to Muslim community"?

Here's a juicy story that illustrates the sort of political correctness nightmare we've descended into.

A Houston area man displayed the US flag but was told my his complex management that the flag represented a "threat to the Muslim community" and he had to take it down.

He's refusing, bless him!

What do you bet the management reverses its decision? Here's the story:

I'll even volunteer to drive the two and a half hours up to Houston to drive em to the airport. I'll even help carry their bags.
And they would hear me shouting as they got on the plane, Vamos Rapido!!! and Good riddance!

This country is a cesspool of progressive liberal scum. I hate them all. Like progressive socialism so much? Move to Cuba or China and leave us the hell alone!

I'll play the Devils Advocate and say that if there was a pre-existing bylaw or whatever to displaying flags...... Mr. Flagflyer shouldn't have moved there

Interesting fact....The majority of Muslims, by an extremely large margin, do not live in the middle east or the Levant.

I think the reason is bull though. I can't believe someone would actually say that.

Most of these stories just end up being someone concocting a story because they don't like the HOA rules they agreed to when they moved

HOAs for the most part are run by little neoNazi wannabes that take great joy in wielding the little power they possess over others. Every one I've ever had any contact with was a major anus chapeau of the highest order. They are also extremely fun to mess with if you have the time. Especially the ones in the little golf carts. They can be a laugh riot to mess with. :roll2:

Because we have private property rights in this country. You are free to express yourself, carry, fly any flag you want to, assemble, and do whatever, until such time as you do it on someones property that tells you not to.

In this case, the HOA has stated that no one is to fly a flag. The tenant had a choice to move in and respect their rights or to move somewhere else. He chose to live under their rules. He does not have the right to live there, and he does not have the right to do what he wants to. If he wants to dance naked and burn money around the UN flag, he can, after he buys his own place and as long as he is not affecting others.

Little Asian guy read lease, signed lease, and transferred money. Legal contract. He gets to live by the bylaws or move.

Public schools pull the same crap during Cinco de Mayo. Pro US slogans or American flags will "upset" the poor little finger-waving illegals.

Snake, I see y'all have a Illegal Immi Grent problem on your southern border..Good luck with that. I saw your Governor on O'Really? last night. It's quite a nightmare from what he said. What's that costing the state of Texas to feed & house them all?

It's ironic too. Around here, Cinco de Mayo is a big deal and and it's indirectly a celebration of Mexico defaulting on a loan from France.

I would like to see him ask the legislature to fund a state border patrol and pass state laws for dealing with the illegals. Arizona has tried this and got sued for their troubles, but it's high time the border states started thumbing their noses at Eric Holder, et al. The individual states have to start exerting their sovereignty against a federal government that has an agenda that does not include serving its contituents.

Man I couldn't tell you, but if I miss a steak dinner because of it, that just ain't right,

    :rotflmao:

But seriously, feeding and housing them is only half the problem. Some of our illustrious idiots within the government will want to give them amnesty. Then they can make em citizens so they can vote for people like Obama. Also what about the costs of flying the overflow to Arizona who doesn't want them either? I think Obama should go back to Kenya and take them all with him.

I have another question. Why do we have Hindos, Buddhists, Jews, every religion and also people representing about every country in the world and non of them seem to be offended by our flag or anything else. Only these Muslims get offended? And where do we get an apartment manager that's so sensitive to their feelings before the fact? Maybe the owner is Muslim and has a chip on his/her shoulder?

And one more thing, I was talking to a friend (Yes I still have a couple on here) yesterday on the phone who is also a member on this forum. He said it's almost like Obama and his constituents want to push us to a revolution. That way they will know which ones of us they need to kill. I've been thinking and now I'm thinking that if you think that's such a stretch, maybe you haven't been paying attention.

mmm. I tend to doubt that, for a couple reasons. First, we often think of the Obama regime as some super-smart and devious Machiavellian group but in fact they're inept bunglers.

Second, I've lived too long to believe in a deep layered government conspiracy. I fondly remember when most of the hippies (of whom I was one, except a right-wing hippie) thought that Nixon was gonna round them up for prison camps. Same for anti-JFK people who saw the Pope calling all the shots and that Protestants would be outlawed. And then if was Reagan who would put all his opponents into camps, and so on, ad infinitum, each president being the top agent for some sort of huge covert plan. Nope.

But Sam, you don't believe Obama has an agenda? Do you think he's just bungling along making a mess of things by accident? These people may be mad, but they aren't stupid. Well not in the usual sense of the world. Yeah, you've seen other presidents who people accused of all this, but nobody screwed things up like this. Nixon wasn't a bad president at all for what he had to work with. And anybody who would accuse Reagan of contemplating anything like that just didn't know or understand Reagan. Nope, I put nothing past this regime.
You're saying that nobody is capable of anything this bazar? Hey, that's why we have three branches of Government, that's why we have a second amendment. That's why we HAD a constitution until Obama used it for toilet paper. Never say never.

Sam, I once felt about the same way, but, that was because all of the previous really bad presidents had the typical Washington DC political animals running the show for them. This guy has replaced all of those people with every flavor of socialist and fascist ideologues, and when he ran out of them, he accepted moronic liberal true believers to populate those bureaus that make unconstitutional rules that he pretends are the law of the land, like his executive orders. He barely even pays lip service to the Constitution, because none of the people who will vote for him believe in it, anyway. He is purging the military leadership of patriots, and turning officers into leftist apparatchik who simply serve the king.

Yes, he is incompetent, when it comes to governing and foreign policy, but he knows it and doesn't care, as long as the media will cover for him enough to keep his base from jumping ship. He is there for the sole purpose of ruining this country and wielding power to whatever extent his ego requires, and accomplishing anything positive for the people of this country is not even something he aspires to. He grew up hearing that the USA was bad and wrong, and he still believes it.

He has the full blessing of the people whose opinions he actually cares about, and everyone else can go piss up a rope.

Oh, bis, I agree with your general assessment of Obama as a true-blue socialist and that he's dedicated to the task.

I just don't see some underslung secretive conspiracy behind it all. I simply see a bunch of fumbling incompetents who would be total failures were it now for what Rush Limbaugh calls the "drive-by" media and the "low information" voters.

The Obama regime is insidious and can cause great harm, true. I just don't think it's a Machiavellian conspiracy, is all.
