Bullpup Porn

Didn't see one of these threads. Here is my Shernic Gun Works bullpup stock with an old Norinco SKS in it. Including optics about $500 if you have a 20 year to you old SKS laying around. It is still SKS reliable and accurate. It does need a good brake to offset the increased muzzle rise from the weight all being in the back. I know C&R purists will scream bloody murder but I like it.

Alas, I don't like bullpups.

You're funny.
I like the SKS well enough but I don't think it is a good bull pup platform. It has too much junk in the trunk.

I like it. I know a few people with them and they are awesome. How about some tavors, Steyrs and maybe the rare SA80. I am considering a Kushnapup AK build next.

Bet it runs a bit over 5 bills...........
Most are over $2000. I have to keep them cheap enough that my wife doesn't notice so I have to build my own.

It is an exceptionally accurate pain in the butt. Or face, rather.
I'm not a fan of bolt-on parts. I think a bullpup rifle has to be designed as a bullpup from jump street to be effective, not an add-on option. Otherwise, it's just an economic exercise in the law of diminishing returns. An SKS was not designed as a bullpup, and it's a good rifle in its own right. I can't think of a single advantage of making it such. Kinda like making an M 1 into a bullpup.
But that's just me.

Every attempt to integrate the system has pretty much failed. We are a forward operating mag country.
I understand the concept behind the bullpup, but I'm unwilling to adopt it as a integrated system.

I like the short lengths, but I have yet to read about or see one with a trigger system not designed by Rube Goldberg.
If someone could solve the trigger issues and have the brass eject down I think it would go a long way to help the design.
The idea of the bolt working under my eye is not appealing either. Again with a bottom eject, and the bolt area sealed under either eye would go a long way to making it a more friendly design.
