Snake, I was under the impression that the 13 inch rule is only for certain counties, not the whole state. Has that been changed?

And I agree, it is a stupid law. Like sixgun said, I bet there are many otherwise respectable bucks either buried or home butchered because they came up a fraction of an inch short.

You ain't just whistlin Dixie, you know it happens. It reminds me of the flounder rule that says it has to be 14 inches. Well if I stab a 13.5 inch flounder that could cost me $500-$600 do you think I'm throwing him in the ice chest? Hell no!, that dudes going back overboard, jus sayin'.

See, it seems straight ahead in most areas to shoot a deer like the one in the video on public land, but when bucks like the one below in the pic are showing up on public land at a better clip than most places, you have to take pause. This one was shot by a childhood friend of one of my hunting buddies somewhere in the southeast part of the state.
    We
You only get one buck a season here. If you want a true wallhanger by Ohio standards, you might want to wait... Me? The one in the video link is getting shot and possibly wall-mounted - far better than any other whitetail I've ever shot.

Here where I hunt, Jackson County(I live one county over, in Calhoun), we only get one good buck a season. We also get one spike and two antlerless. That's four and plenty for me. Heck I haven't gotten more than two in the last two years, but I'm happy. We've also gotten 3 hogs so not a disastrous year last year. My wife and I killed a small buck each and a hog each, and my grandson got the killer HOGZILLA, hehehe. He killed a 300 Pounder just before new years. So I'm calling that a very successful Season. Two people killed game for their first time. Even had I not killed anything, that right there was success enough for me.

    That's ****, because brow tines.....are points.

Then it would go back to 4 to a side including brow tine. Watching a heavy beamed 6 with NO brow tines walk is a lot worse than arguing about weather brow tine is a point.
It's boring, and your lack of creativity knows no bounds.
