Sightings reported. Cigarette packs and diapers found. He's not concealing himself very well presently...fatiqued or setting the police up? Not sure.

I say call in Forestry and start a fire line... Burn him out.

Probably not. Pa wildfires are localized by terrain. He can walk out faster than be burned out. Not to mention if you light off peoples stands of red and white oak, you will have a lot more shooting going on.

If they can corner him in a building, there IS going to be a fire.

They were searching the abandoned Buck Hill Resort...a (formerly) beautiful castle like resort. If he is there, it'll be another 2 weeks to locate him Place is huge and lots of tunnels.

Their search dogs must be defective. A couple dozen trained bloodhounds should be able to get him treed pretty quick. Unless they are looking in the wrong place.

Dude better surrender to TV cameras or he may not make it to trial. Shot cops and now poking fun at their abilities to catch him.........they are pizzed off, to say the least.

I wouldn't be broken hearted if he died where they found him.

Believing he is more than "self taught". Rumors of a love triangle, but they have been dispelled. Seems more like he is simply enjoying taunting them... and, I believe, setting a very nasty trap for them. His re-enactments seem to have taken him to a new "reality", IMO.
Not much news/progress. IF he's trying to make them look bad, he's doing a pretty good job...IF it's him, and IF he not dead in a ditch somewhere.

Sighted, pipe bombs and other unspecified evidence found.

With all the activity, I'm pretty sure the deer have vacated, and the hunters that go to that area will have something other than venison as their top priority.

It has now been a month of a police state, even boarder patrol helicopters (Black Hawks) are skimming the tree tops. This whole thing makes the police look inept, and it's killing the economy of the small town.
I agree, a heinous crime was committed, and justice needs to win out, but a month of 1000 LEOs, armoured vehicles, copters, FBA, Marshals, BATFE...and not even a 100% certain sighting yet????

Just now...gun fire close by. No Biggie, but a rather large explosion just occurred. At 1 am, the quarry in closed...guess I'm awake now. Blast was within 1/2 mile by the sound.

    Matt

Added...radio went nuts...static, muffled voices, silence...morse code, silence, and now nothing but dots and dashes. Maybe the end game is close.

Morse code on a police radio is generally a standard required periodic station identification. Happens every hour or so, very brief. Used to do it by word of mouth, now it's automatic. I don't know any police guys who understand Morse.

    I hope it's over.

I'm about 1/4 mile outside of the hunting restriction zone, 5 miles from the "search area". Radio flopping from morse to voice to mayhem. Some panicked, some calm. More shots heard from here...so much for a good night's sleep.

    Matt

BTW, over 30 days in these woods and this weather...don't want to play hide and seek with this guy.

A fellow with good skills can evade capture for a long time if he knows how to live off the land.
When I was a LEO, a major amount of critical radio traffic moved to text and cell phones, by then police frequencies were compromised by the media and or buffs.
Radio station ID was by voice (dispatcher) every 10 minutes.

By that time there was way too much radio gear, unmarked cars had slathers of radio frequencies for Joint Task Force, FEDS,State, City, FDNY / EMS, and individually , we carried several pounds too many of Motorola junk, spare batteries.

By then even beat cops in uniform carried a Motorola text pager in additoon to the department issue Motorola saber radio.

Now he is, according to the "news",sighted about 10 miles south of the perimitter...most of the forces went that way, Swiftwater. Casino on lockdown yesterday (yeah, that will go over well).
Convinced they have no clue where he actually is.

That poor guy - if I were local, I'd offer to take him to work until the BG was caught.

Looks like he has many offers for rides now locally (local gun forum picked it up, and the support was nice to see). And has apparently secured a lawyer (who is doing it without retainer). I'm not usually the suing type, but I'd make an exception in this case, if it truly happened as he says.

The "Rambo" might have been a "bounty hunter", either way, Rambo was driving a silver SUV, with the attorney's help, maybe he wont have to walk to work anymore.

From what I'm hearing, a fund has raised about $6000 for him, and two dealerships are offering to get him a car...not sure if a rental or to own, but this small town really stepped up. Nice to see now a days.
