I have a friend who is interested in making a trip out west for a prarie dog shoot. He did it once before guided and wants to to it again but last time he said he thought they were overhunted wherever he was. Any of you have any info on reputable guide services or any other advice I can give him?

Although I never had a guide, my favorite area is Mobridge S.D. I do know there are a lot of PD guides in town.

Colorado is kind of tough right now. Plague came through about 5 years ago and populations (at least in the SE part of the state) haven't recovered yet. I'm thinking even with a guide service, it'd be spotty here at best.

The guy I know north of Gillette had low population this past year. His is a bed and breakfast/dinner type pd shoot (with a sack lunch at noon).
I can check with Bill, if you want me to.
