since I installed the IOS 8 on my iPad, it's been slow and temporaily locks, especially on Facebook.

My question, can I uninstall it and go back to my old operating system? Are there any other suggestions? I've checked my useage and I'm ok, no music, a few pics but nothing hogging memory. I have restarted several times and made sure apps weren't running, etc

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nope. You cannot go back. Once installed, any newer OS on Apple or Droid is there to stay. Since Apple doesn't believe in SD cards for additional storage which MIGHT be used as faux RAM, the only way to run FB et al faster would be on a newer Ipad.

Having said that, do you have the latest version of iOS 8? That may make a difference.

As Tugar said, the latest version is 8.1.1

Reset to factory settings should wipe you clean.
