I've got to say that much of my support for bringing the troops home is based on my concern for their wellbeing, and that the whole country of Iraq isn't worth any more casualties.

Many here have said that, however, once the commitment has been made and lives sacrificed, it's better to see the affair to its conclusion rather than early withdrawal. Some have direct personal involvement in the Iraq conflict and I don't, so I yield to their better judgment.

I don't however see this withdrawal as "turning tail" or "surrender", and I don't think that many others see it that way. Okay, maybe it is a mistake -- brought on by the Obama Regime's blundering failure to achieve a new agreement with the Iraqis. Time will tell. I just hope the Iraqis "grow up" and learn to take care of their own damn country quick.
