No, you can never be prepared for everything, but the more you know....the more you know. I can tell you that the one FoF class that I've taken was an absolute eye opener when it comes to just how damn stressful a (simulated) SD encounter can be.

Mom and Dad both wanted the baby. The solution was to pull out a pocket knife and cut the baby in half. Give half to each parent.

At the same time I’m amazed at how my perception of what happened was so radically different than what actually happened.

And this is why initial reports by eyewitnesses are almost universally wrong.

    Good read, Eli. Thanks

Didn't the Pharaoh offer to do that with Moses?

    King Solomon, as I recall.

Sheesh I need to catch up on my Bible Study.

Damn good read Eli. And Wambli right on and you aren't borned knowing anything. Everything is learned by some kind of training. Yeah Common Sense helps you fill in the voids and get moving, but we need to train. I am more for this kind of training when we get certified to carry. Not only will it make us safer for others, it will help to prevent us from getting shot by a perp. We will at least have a thought about when we need to pull our gun and when to leave also. Lots of good lessons in these types of Scenarios.
