DEA Head to Resign (Not an Odumba Appointee)

Being a Yahoo report I am not sure what is truly involved but she has been head of the DEA since 2007. There have been problems and hearings so maybe she does. Can't be worst than any of the IRS, DOJ, Secret Service and such agent improprieties.

http://news.yahoo.com/ap-source-dea-chief-set-resign-agency-soon-180148522--politics.html

There is one good quote from the White House though that I had to laugh at ...
"The president, as you know, maintains a very high standard for anybody who serves in his administration, particularly when it comes to law enforcement officials. And the -- the I.G. report raised serious concerns about that conduct," Earnest said.

Eric Holder high standards??? maybe they need to raid the Oval Office with a drug dog to find Odumass's stash in the flower pot behind his desk cause the above statement shpows he has got to be smokin' something!

So this means that prostitutes provided by the cartels is not considered proper recreation? I think there should be a competition between the DEA and the Secret Service on who can withstand the most shots of 1800 and still walk. Blame it on the chic in charge. Musta been hired by Bush. If Oblivit hired her the cover up would keep her safe. :fan: Later,

I sure hope our tax dollars were paying for some premium "stuff" and none of our gallant DEA agents brought home a gift that keeps on giving....or maybe not....

That crap on TV about federal employees can't get fired is baloney. I saw plenty if they (Supervisors/Branch-DIV Chiefs/Directors) do the damn paperwork. Or in our case a post Cdr/CG could bar one from post or have a DA Civilian thrown outta a deployment country thus he couldn't come on post/or do his work. Pulling a security clearance would do the same thing without any access they are toast.

Sure, they can appeal or go before a civil service board and try to get reinstated IF you were wrongfully dismissed, sometimes I've seen them get a choice to resign immediately or get fired.

Our terms of employment were strict and any failure to comply could result in termination. Also, they passed a law where misconduct overseas can be prosecuted back in the states.

So, they only situation when I can fathom them doing this would be if they were deep undercover and somehow had to participate in a drug lords party and their lives were threatened and they might be exposed/killed if they didn't.

Sounds like they were just enjoying the "Perks" of the job from what I know about it.

You're spot-on BC...In my years of Government service, I've seen plenty of folks terminated....for everything from stalking to inappropriate use of a government credit card....

My GOVT credit was in my name and tightly controlled, every purchase was monitored. It was for travel/TDY only. I think it had a $10,000 limit or $7,500. Couple different companies had the contract.

Once there was a charge I didn't know was there as I was deployed to Afghanistan, a surcharge for a plane ticket to Germany of $14 bucks and seeing the automated travel system had paid for my commercial ticket I figured I had a zero balance owed. I always used my own money for meals and claimed them later and never took a cash advance and just collected the Per Diem they calculated on settlement.

Man oh man, I got emails/phone calls from bosses I didn't think I had about a "Delinquent" unpaid account. I just called and paid the damn $14 bucks on my debit card and never claimed it. Later that was fixed and those charges were included in the ticket price and paid.

Anyway, how can those folks spend thousands and thousands on cars/clothes/gambling we hear about? Must be what they call an Impact or some kinda card that should be used for purchasing supplies and stuff like office furniture..............I dunno.

Anyhow, a lady at HQ job was to monitor every charge we made on them cards and a red flag went up for any suspected abuse.

Part of the employment agreement was you must obtain and maintain a GOVT credit card for official business. Plus we got all kinds of online classes we had to take annually on credit card use and abuse.

I agree, civil service/federal employees can be held to certain standards if their supervisors enforce them and hold their feet to the fire.

Don't care what agency they work for, the standards of conduct and regs are there.

There are a couple of cases I'm familiar with...one was a GS-14 Head of the EEO Office. She had TWO Government CCs...worth 10K apiece and had them both maxed out and delinquent...in addition, as a "community activist" she was having all her printed material done up in the Govt. Print Shop.
Seems one of the printers blew the whistle on her.... She showed up for work at 8, was escorted out of the building by 9 and forfeited 30 years worth of retirement...

Of course there was the GSA gal who had a boob job done on a Govt. Credit card....she was summarily sent down the road as well....
