Its my first. There is a big gobbler in these woods also, but the jakes were there.

Nicely done, kudos on snapping a couple of pictures before you shot him and did not spook them.

I give that one to the ground blind. Those three came in fat, dumb, and happy. Saw the decoy and made right for her.

Called a buddy of mine who is way to into turkey hunting who said the same thing. If it comes in, it goes home.

In the few times that I went turkey hunting I found out that the Jakes are better eating than a tough old Tom.

While I may get picky sometimes about deer I shoot, any legal turkey that comes in gets blasted, no questions asked!

Damned skippy! I learned my lesson the hard way on this one too many times: if it has a beard, shoot it! You can almost always secure another tag if you have time and burning desire to wait on a bigger one.

    Great job, Varmintmist!

The ground blind is one of the most shockingly effective tools for turkeys. I had a hen within 10 yards of the blind when I was sitting with Jerry's buddy Elvan in Tennessee. We were snapping pics and moving all around in there and that bird had no idea.
Accuracy: because white space between bullet holes drives me insane.
