What is your main source of daily news?

I am curious about this. We have a lot of diversified opinions here. I'm wondering where this comes from, other than just personal opinions, et al.

I go to Fox and a little CNN and a few others, mainly Fox. Sometimes 24/7 local yokels cable from Orlando or Tampa areas weather on the 9s or 1s kinda stuff. Seldom ABC/NBC/CBS evening news.

Also, Drudge Report which is essentially just links to news stories all over the world from various sources.

When watching national news, I will usually take in Fox, sometimes CNN. For local news it's usually the ABC affiliate out of Madison.

Talk about an anti-gun slant last night I switched to CNN and they had piece about the MC rumble in Waco and sure enough a CNN newscaster asked some guy who went undercover and wrote a book on Biker Gangs isn't CCW permits a big part of the problem when bikers are allowed to legally get and carry concealed guns. He replies biker bosses ask their gang members without a record to legally get guns and apply for permits :bang::bang:

No doubt criminals abuse gun buying, but even to insinuate states that allow CCW and gun ownership in general are the root cause of biker crime is beyond the pale.

Wonder what CNNs solution would be, to cancel all CCWs for millions of law abiding citizens because a few may abuse it? Blame the gun, not the individual responsible for a crime, nothing is ever their fault, some object turned them into murderers and their mommy's didn't cuddle them enough as babies....................................

Although I know CNN has a huge pinko agenda behind them, it's the basic platform I use for international news, including local U.S. events. Layout was great until it was changed to a different format recently, which I either don't get used to yet, or simply don't like at all.

For local information I use the main local newspaper website (www.elcomercio.pe) and a couple of web publications (www.politico.pe & www.altavoz.pe) mainly for editorial and columnists publications.

Morning while getting ready for work I check the local TV news; local format is quite gory with all the relevant themes being pushed aside for later (Too late for me), so you'll have the usual uber-explicit images of the classic 3rld. world accidents (e.g. a unlicensed driver wanted for indecent exposure and domestic violence crashes a bus he was drunk-driving -fake license plate, no insurance and with over $ 5k of due tickets- against an illegal bus stop, killing 5 people; police arrested a stray dog who "witnessed the accident but refused to declare") with blood, body parts and grieving relatives, the assorted violent crimes (Mainly murders over contract, restaurant robberies at gunpoint or similar) with victims laying over pools of their own blood in the street, or local show business "persons" making public disgraces of themselves in the worst possible ways.

For straight news reporting I really like NPR. For analysis they lean left, but for reporting most of the facts I've found they do a good job. I also watch all the major players and see what pops up on my email service's home page, then if something seems odd I try and track down more info.

NPR has a liberal agenda and that is why the liberal Juan Williams went to Fox News. They get the facts on hard news fairy good, but I got burnt out on their left opinions in the Desert, at least we Knew AFN (Armed Forces Network) Radio "Who Is Your Baghdaddy Broadcast From a Secret Location By The Most Heavily Armed DJs In The World" was propaganda from the get-go :tooth: :roll2: :roll2: :roll2:

NBC local news for the weather report, Fox News for national, and several internet sources like Drudge. For comic relief I watch Al Jazeera America (the old Al Gore network before he sold it); they are pretty funny most of the time.

For brief look at it and of the ones listed FOX. After that if it really is of interest I'll look at more independent sources. I like to see what the BBC says for international. For local stuff it's always fun to compare the various TV News channels and online newspaper from the area the story is about. I don't believe most media channels tell the full story, even FOX, so compiling stuff from various sources tends to give a little better picture.
