That is a huge difference in POI, wouldn't think it would need that much adjustment until you had more distance

    That revolver is messed up.
I went out today with 45 cold ammo, put the 45 cold dope on it and it starts shooting low.

Put the .45 acp dope on it and it shoots well with 45 cold ammo.

Not bad groups, I used 1/3 moonclips [2 rnds], shooting from slightly separated spots. Each 2 rnd string of fire had the holes touching.

On the back of the jug the holes were closer together.

    .45 ACP

Shot a water filled jug with a 300 gr flat point Winchester .44 mag.

I did not expect much; but, got about the same effect that ZEE got in that last video he posted.

Recoil was somewhat noticeable as the Redhawk has a bare metal backstrap; though, the recoil was not as bad as some of those T-REX 45 cold rnds that Jerry loads.

There are some evergreen stuff in the background----vines, magnolia, yellow pines, and pin oaks that are slow to drop all their leaves.

Better than we are doing. You could skate on most of the parking lots in our town, I am busy with the slip and falls to say the least.

Was 31 this AM, got to 67; forecast for low 30s tonight.
Got out of scraping the windshield today because Clean did not go to Navy Marine Corps Relief until after 0800 and the frozen dew was melted by then.

Went out in the forest to shoot a jug------almost had the big one--------they cleared the trees from the dirt road that had been there since Hurricane  Florence.

Free firewood just laying on the side of the road and you got to get some shooting in? Win-Win.

I took the last steel can of beer I had laying around to the woods today.
Shook it up good and shot it with a .45 acp ball rnd from a Blackhawk 45 convertible.

What a let down----the can just fell over and drained.

I'm posting this to conform with new forum requirements on cleaning firearms.
Turned out it was too easy and not that dirty.

Mrs. Clean didn't stand over you to make sure you did it right? ( well heck I was going to put a smiley here but forgot where they are)

Just past the refrig in the upper right of the photo you can barely see part of a stool stepladder; she is up on that dusting and probably keeping an eye on my actions.  :)

The rains stopped for a while, forecast to start again sometime tonight and rain on and off for the next 24 hrs or so.

I made a run for the forest to shoot a jug and check the water levels, we do now have a wetland forest. The dirt road was flooded in two places with full ditches; good thing I remembered the fording kit for my bicycle

On the way out I saw a rabbit and almost ran over two turtles.

Shot the empty jug with .45 ACP ball and took it home as a trophy.
