    Me too. Says the Sheriff:

"Liberals call me and tell me the chain-gang form of justice isn't working. Well, let me inform you, your form of justice isn't working either."

They (the liberals) just don't get it.

Nice to see a sheriff suggest that citizens get a CCW and promote 'the carrying of a weapon" for self protection.

Way back in 1994 in Davidson County, North Carolina, they elected a sheriff with "An Attitude too. A man by the name of Gerald Hege. He took the Buford Pusser and Joe Arpaio style of sheriff'n. He got back to basics after being elected by a margin of 261 votes, made the prisoner's wear different color jump suites,( color depended on their crime) took away the prisoners, TV, books ( except for the bible), The jail was repainted in pink with weeping blue teddy bears. To make a long post short here,,, His down fall started after 9-11, when he sent a christmas card out featuring himself wearing a black jumpsuit with a bloody sword and severed head of Osama bin Laden with the title " Happy Ramadan" which sparked statewide controversy and an ACLU investigation.
... Any way as years passed charges of nepotism, financial irregularities and mismanagement began to surface. On Sept. 15, 2003 Hege was charged with 15 felonies and suspended from office. He only received 3yrs of probation which ended on May 17, 2007....

Point being it is good that LEO and sheriff's take a hard stand on crime and support the "Armed citizen" but when they go corrupt and become infected with corruption, and riddle with the abuse of their office, then we are back to square one again...

His corruption and downfall has already started. He must be getting kickbacks from Taurus... :silly:

    From the article:

At one point, Wright held up a fanny pack and said, "They make this right here where you can conceal a small pistol in them. They got one called The Judge that shoots a .45 or a .410 shell. You ain't got to be accurate; you just have to get close."

Of course, the rest of his comments have the ring of truth, but most sheriffs are politicos first, LEO's second, and shooters a distant third, so there ya go.
