Mounting game camera's on T-posts delima solved

Out on the ranch we've struggled a bit figuring out a good way to mount our game cameras out at the food plot. One thing we have plenty of is T posts. They're sturdy enough but figuring out a mounting system that was cheap and easy proved a chore. The best we’d found was baling wire and a 8” long 2x4. Darn cows would play heck on the system when they would rub against them knocking the cameras out of line.

Problem solved, for $5.00 at the local hardware store I got a short section of 1/4” thick 4” diameter PVC pipe and a hand full of self taping screws. I marked off 5” sections and the miter box made short order of cutting them to length. I slid the pipe over the T post and used two self-tapping screws to secure it to the post. Next a quick hit with some dark green paint and a few minutes to dry. The cameras tightened down and fit securely though I used a screw on each side of the strap to make sure they stayed in place. This was a cheap and easy solution.

Distance is not an issue, but the wind can make it interesting!

Send that in to Outdoor Life or Field and Stream, I forget which, get a free knife or something if they put your idea in an issue.

    This. ^^

I've had a comment published in Field and Stream before, but only to smart off. Never had a tip or trick published in there and got a free toy. Do it!
