Looks like it's related to grunts. They don't eat so well. Make good grouper bait if butterfly filleted, though.

It's in the grunt family. Oddly most of the grunts I've had have been decent. Not too great, but definitely edible.

Some believe it to be a dinosaur of some sort. But regardless, it's still a reptile. Not a fish.

They are O.K. fresh. Once frozen the meat tends to get a little mushy when thawed. Ketchup covers the taste of the fresh ones pretty good! :tooth:
