Another outstanding opener! Great number of birds and of course the company, food and drinks are outstanding! Worked lots of sun flower fields and some corn. My 2yr old, Glen, worked very well. He made several excellent retrieves and found 2 wounded birds that we didn't shoot! This pic is my 2 boys, dad (83) and brother.

I gotta get back to the true Midwest. Every time you making an opening day post like this I get jealous as hell. Great work, as usual!

Was supposed to head out to Aberdeen this weekend but son#2 got drawn for a special youth deer hunt, might make a later trip with the crew after deer season, good job!.

Jealous is low on the scale of things I am feeling after seeing that pic damnit! Every time you post up about the 'opener' it makes me long for my early years hunting pheasants over English/Gordon setters.

I might have to put you on my ignore list..............

The 1st and 6th bird on the left have good 'tails'. What were their spurs like?

Ooops............mean the right, looking at the pic.
Still enjoying the trip of a lifetime and making the best of what I have.....

Wow Bellcat, That's not just a great hunt, that's a DREAM hunt. No wonder so many smiles.

And I'm particullarly impressed with dad, who at 83, seems to be in great form.
    Daddy, what's an enabler?
Son that's somebody with nothing to do with his time but keep me in trouble with mom.

Thanks Snake....he's a trooper...had his bladder and prostate removed last summer and is up and back at it. He filled both his Nebraska deer tags last month, dance club with mom, coffee w friends, etc. he's always been a good role model.
