MLok vs KeyMod Rails ...

I have no dog in the fight, heck I still have the old cheese graters with rail ladders but a couple guys here are getting into which is better. My only thought is my favorite manufacturer uses KeyMod but I don't even care enough to swap out my "old stuff" which do me just fine. It is funny though to hear them talk ... it's basically a Ford vs Chevy argument type thing but am I missing something?

I'm considering going to Keymod for an light carbine, because the manufacturer makes the Keymod rails work with a push-button QD sling swivel. Basically I want the rifle to be as light as possible while still using standard materials and such (aluminum upper an lower, pencil barrel, ultralight handguard, T1 or similar red dot, polymer BUIS) and I figured shaving an ounce or so may just help with the plan.

It's poised to replace Keymod. It's more universally adaptable, too.

I have only used MLOK stuff. I really like so far, plus with a little patience and finagling MOE pattern bolt on stuff will work.
