Nine attacks in France since Dec 2014. That is almost one a month.

Sounds like the French are saying enough is enough, but I don't know if Obummer ever will wake up!

They might do well to request an intelligence consultation from Isreal.

Regardless of the severity of response the future will require improved intelligence.

That would be up to the government.

Their Syrian refugee count isn't high enough yet, obvioisly. It's the violence caused by white privilege. Duh.

Workplace violence...when is my tee time in the Hamptons.

I watched Obama's address to the world - the world was extremely unimpressed. Very embarassing.

Obama's intelligence is easily outclassed by the common turnip..........by a HUGE margin. He's the appeaser in chief without a clue of what to do, and fires anyone in the military who doesn't agree with him.

Big difference is; CM would arm the people and take trained personnel to defend themself and kill the bad guys. Not take everyones guns so they would make easier targets.

I'd rather that he'd fall asleep and stay that way for a year or so, but then (horror of horrors) "Feel-'em-up" Joe Biden would be Commander-in-Chief....That's something I don't even want to think about.

" War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than him self."

Breaking news this morning. 2 terrorists and 1 police dog dead. 4 police injured. Quite a few terrorists captured. The terrorists were located by tracking cell phone communications. I'm sure their cell phone use has now stopped. Media idiots!

And "Enough is enough" is often a preamble to reactionary and ineffective policy suggestions.

That can go either way. If you don't have the balls and resolve and you don't follow through on your stance you will be run over and left to look like the fool you are. And so goes Obummer.....

    What else is new?

This president needs to take a hike! He needs to resign or they need to take him out of office because he is the ruination of us all, I mean the whole damn world!

If I were king, I would forbid people to vote for such a joke!

"Enough is enough" is always a preamble to some major divergence from a more passive strategy - unless it comes out of the mouth of the bullshiite artists who pretend shock and alarm at something, every day.

If it comes from BHO or HRC, you can be certain that before they finish their monologue, they will have already also said the complete opposite of at least one of their applause lines.

The K-9 was a 7-years old Belgian Malinois named "Diesel"; my parents have Belgian Groenlandels (Almost the black version of the Malinois) and they are great dogs.

Considering that next to pigs, muslims consider them as the most "unholy" animals, it's almost ironic that the 1st. face of the attacking force they met was the poor animal's.

As long as I recall, it was the same breed used by the SEAL team that wiped out Bin Laden.

Non-breaking news this afternoon. The cell phone information was acquired from a phone found in the trash at an attack scene. I'm guessing the terrorists were using disposable phones because they did not want to be caught with them. I am one of the most cell phone illiterate people around but I know phones store calls/messages sent and received. My first 6 years in the military were intelligence gathering. One thing always stressed was never letting the enemy know how you acquired the intelligence! The media are still idiots!

For killing the poor dog I would execute the captured terrorists. And their families. And bomb their home towns.

So you equate the mass shootings by one or more mentally ill asshats in the U.S. to the several MILLION militant terrorists who follow the religion of Islam and shoot, behead, gang rape, sell women as sex slaves, and generally kill most everybody they meet? You're a special kind of strange if you believe that. Just in case you haven't been keeping up with current events, those Muslim followers of ISIS have murdered at a minimum a few HUNDRED THOUSAND people in the last couple of years, and displaced a few million more.

Alpha: The real mass casualties in these things have always come from bombs. At Columbine the bombs malfunctioned. For the Aurora Theater shooter, his bombs were discovered. That and modern EMS care. With JFK era EMS you would seem much higher numbers of dead.
  • Dr. dbDr. db Posts: 1,541 Senior Member
I should have added "if the bombs reach their target" which the ones in Paris did not. Look up "school violence" (it's just what I'm most familiar with) on Wikipedia. The big numbers are due to well placed bombs.
  • KSU FirefighterKSU Firefighter Posts: 3,249 Senior Member
Had the TNT clad Jihadi's made it to where they wanted to be, the casualties would have been much higher. The plan, as I understand it from what we have been told, for the one guy to get in the main entrance and go see allah. Then the other two were to be set up at side exits, ready to turn into air pollution, when the panicked crowds ran their way to escape the first blast. Not a bad plan, just got screwed up by the security folks at the stadium.

But as we've seen they don't often make it to their target. Bombs are highly effective when used optimally, but they also frequently fail or don't reach their intended target. They're also much harder to come by at least in the US. There are far more risks of interdiction before you even execute your attack plus the risk of blowing yourself up.

Yes this was shown to us by:
    the 1993 Trade center bombing
    the 1995 OKC bombing
    the 1995 - 1997 Unabomber bombings
    the 1996-1998 Rudolph bombings
    the 2005 British consulate attack
    the 2007 Mexican consulate attack
    the 2008 recruiting center bombing
the 2008 san diego court house bombings
the 2008 fire bomb UC-santa cruz professor
    the 2009 starbucks bombing
the 2010 hostage taking with bomb
    the 2013 boston marathon bombing
the 2013 wichita bombing attempt ( arrested)
the 2015 Mississippi hospital bombing attempt

but I am sure that list can be marginalized by some head in the sand logic.
