More Zero Tolerance BS

Lowering the Bar in Zero Tolerance: The 6-year-old son of Martha Miele was given an automatic three-day out-of-school suspension at Our Lady of Lourdes in Cincinnati in October after, emulating actions of his favorite Power Rangers characters, he pretended to shoot a bow and arrow at another student. Principal Joe Crachiolo was adamant, insisting that he has "no tolerance for any real, pretend or imitated violence." An exasperated Martha Miele confessed she was at a loss about how a 6-year-old boy is supposed to block out the concept of a super-hero fighter (and instead imagine, say, a super-hero counselor?). A few months back my 6 year old Grandson was playing in the city park across the street. He had found 2 "L" shaped sticks and like most kids his age was pretending they were pistols. A 5 year old girl wanted to play with him so he gave her one of the sticks. Her young Mother was close by so I gave her a look for approval. She said "It's OK. We are pro gun". There may be hope!

Thank Goddess for small favors!
Just sayin'
Just before we were about to go ahead with the plan (with school administration approval, BTW), the parents of a kid not even enrolled in ROTC raised such a stink that the whole thing had to be scrapped. Now- - - -for "the rest of the story" like Paul Harvey used to say- - - - -the parents who got the air rifle target team cancelled got several windows of their house and two cars damaged by a BB gun a few weeks later!

I'd rather have my sister work in a whorehouse than own another Taurus!
This just adds support to the argument as to why they should not have had the shooting team.
It was like this in the late 70's and even the early 80's in many places. I remember driving past the Cross City high school on my way hunting back in ~'83-'86 and seeing rifles and shotguns hanging in the back windows of dang near every pickup in the parking lot, so they could hustle out hunting right after school let out.

Was gonna say, my dad had a 65 Chevy half ton long wheel base pickup with a gun rack in the rear window. When I went to school on days he let me take it I had my 30-30 and my 12 gauge long tom in that gun rack in plain view. If they would have popped the trunk on half the cars in the parking lot they would have found similar armament. But nobody shot the school up or cause a hostage situation. THE VERY LIBERALS that want your guns caused this madness with their Godless PC policies.
Son that's somebody with nothing to do with his time but keep me in trouble with mom.
