If your a hand gunner you need to seek out a model 28 and add it to your collection. Prices are climbing fast and you'll find no better field gun.

Here you can see a 28-2 pinned and rec I just picked up for $450. Tyler t and bonded ivory grips on the way.

These are absolute shooters. And their so over built you would think Ruger made them.

Nice find and a great price these days in almost any condition. Hard to beat a Horace n Daniel N frame.

    Congrats :guns::guns:

Nice price and it should shine a lot brighter with your additions

My pre-model 27 is almost too purty to shoot a lot. I picked up a mint 28 back in Oct and love it.

That S&W in really nice shape, even in the high 80 percent condition is a no brainer at that price !
I never could like a Tyler, I really tried to force myself to like it, always ended up with the Pachmeyr grip you have on it now.
As a safe Queen, that all would be a moot point.

She will be getting a t grip and bonded ivory. Everyone needs a odd ball grip on one of their guns.

I genuinely want to visit the areas where you can find S&Ws for those prices. That is an easy $700 pistol in my area.

I really want one as a CCW, not a safe Queen, 6 shots is plenty, I just have not found a Revolver and had enough scratch at the same time to buy one, .44 special would be ideal !
A S&W revolver, not a Charter Arms revolver.

What is the barrel length ?

This is a 6". They also came in 4" and the rare 3.5"

Lots of people have these converted to 44 spl

Had a few over the years. Long and short. Never warmed up to the .357. Love the S&W N Frame, but prefer it in something that starts with a "4".
It's a source of great pride for me, that when my name is googled, one finds book titles and not mug shots. Daniel C. Chamberlain

Maybe you could find a gunsmith that would do a bead blast blue finish on it...

Bead blast blue a classic S&W indeed !
Only a Taurus gets such vile treatment !

You know who else had an N-frame .357 with ivory grips and a grip adapter?
