Anyone use Texas Law Shield

Went to one of their workshops Tuesday evening, topic was the new laws coming out Jan 01 2016, specifically open carry. They also have memberships that provide legal representation should you need it in the event of a shooting or other situations where you had to use deadly force. The price is actually pretty cheap.
I did learn a lot about the new stuff happening that I wasn't really aware of.

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with them in any way.

I know the guy that probably did your workshop. Good friend of mine.

Tall, lanky kid with a mountain man beard?

Naw, old fat guy like me but the lawyer that was there is really pretty, she is out of Houston. They also had a police captain out of San Antonio that did a section on how to deal with a police stop and how to react after a self defense shooting. All really good stuff to know but Lord I hope I never have to use it!

I've had their prepaid legal service for about four years for both myself and my wife. Upgraded a couple years ago to the multi-state, then upgraded again last year to the Expert Witness and Bail Bond add-on. They also offer at-home coverage for non-CHL holders. With around 80,000 members in Texas, there is a lot of money in their pool (assuming they're not crooks, of course...had to say it before someone else did). Besides the prepaid legal and educational programs, they also publish a book called Texas Gun Law: Armed and Educated. Latest edition includes the Jan 1 changes. What I liked about their program is that it is not insurance, but rather it is representation. No reimbursement or allowance. You call, and you get a lawyer for both criminal and civil. I haven't needed them, thank goodness, but I've read of a few on one of the Texas gun forums. Another feature: You can call and ask a gun law question.

A couple of years for my wife and I... Figure it is fairly cheap and better safe than sorry.
