Unique Serial Number

A plain Glock G19 came into my possession a little bit ago. It has a very unique number. Sixgun has seen it and can verify.

So the question is, the gun is a $500 gun but how much if any is it worth to have the serial number?

Is it unique because it's interesting, unique because it's special/attached to someone?
    Meh.

It's interesting. In my opinion a mall ninja type would pay for it definitely.

In that case, it'll be worth however much you can get, and if you can get the proper buyer. Sorry it's not a number, but that's the best I can give.
    Meh.

Publish the #. It's done all the time on Gunbroker. No one is going to steal it.

Such fears are totally unjustified. In fact, it's safer to have posted it and therefore created a record.

    666??

There should be a DVL666US, EVL666US, and STN666 floating around out there somewhere.

I saw the # and definitely think that there's a new-age/millilenial mall ninja appeal to it that could command at least a modest premium.

I sold, while working part time at a CO LGS, a Glock with a 666 serial number. I don't remember what the prefix was.

You know I thought about that. I mean I have all the ATF forms that say I own it. But that little tin foil hat wearing voice in the back of my skull says nope don't do it.

Gun to the next gunshow, find a fat neckbeard basement dweller wearing TONS of 5.11 gear who obviously can't climb a flight of stairs without getting winded, let alone do some sweet "ops", and offer it up at a premium.

I have a ggun that part of serial number is JFK, owner of LGS asked to trade it back, so there is for sure an interest in unique numbers.

I can't imagine any serial # that I would be willing to pay more for.

There was a ruger collector that was able to collect a particular S/N of each of their guns. Eventually, iirc, SR just gave every new gun with the s/n to him.

TO me, its like have a gun with some goof on it. IE like an upside-down name or wrong name stamped on it. There are collectors for those things, but from what I've seen, they won't pay anymore than what you can get it for.

I always thought - until a year or two back - that it referred to Hitler's birthday.

However, a neighbor was issued license plate 420 HHI. He is an assistant District Attorney - he took the plate back to DMV and got another one!

With Glocks serial numbers (Gen lV ) of 3 letters and 3 numerals, It lends itself to many possible interesting combinations, some people might like, maybe even pay for.

Some numbers might get a fair amount of interest, without knowing the number we can't make an educated guess. 511? meh. Does it have a rail? Doesn't really fit the "tactical" theme if not.
