You have to get the Walther P22 threaded adapter for yours. Not only looks cool but will give you enablement to get a suppressor!

Yes...I will look into that...thanks for the heads up!!

I got them off EBay after watching for a long time. These are American elk and were reasonably priced, but a lot of stag grips are crazy pricey!!

Nope :tooth: Bad picture, I can not express how freaking beautiful this gun is when it's up close and personal...

REALLY interesting gun, turns out it might NOT be a re-blue. More about that later, I need to do more research.

It is a re-blue, War production was parkerized, front sight, trigger are not original either....... makes me want to cry.......

Looks like a makeover of a Military production gun to resemble a commercial gun... sad tragedy......

The re-blue when done by the better than average fellow does not wear the markings in the polishing process, however you will see ripples, the original Colt deep blue is another animal.

No ripples anywhere, edges are all sharp, and the blue on this gun is as dark or darker than my Python. When parkerizing is polished you normally loose just about all the markings to get a gun surface THIS smooth. It us like holding glass. Not ONE flaw anywhere. I can't believe this gun was ever parkerized. Like I said I need a lot more research.

The thing about his photos that really amazes me is he snaps them with his toes :tooth:

Your new pic is much better than the other one. Colt had special tooling and personal for polishing, you may be on to something. Keep digging for sure.

Nice, though I'd prefer the "Glock" grip logo to be lower, and have the grip textured in a Gen 4 pattern. Been eyeballing press releases on ATI's polymer 1911, thinking I might stipple the frame, swap the slide, and try to find some proper grips and sights. Then have an appropriate label printed up for one of my Glock boxes.

They aren't match guns but definitely "timex" 1911's. Old school, steel, and run great.

The semi auto NORINCO M-14 copies were quite bad in comparison, for some odd reason....

Tough to find them in original condition. They were popular as "build" platforms years ago because you could get a real forged steel gun for reasonable money.

I've been tempted to customize mine but decided to just add double diamond grips to it since I don't lack others.
Here's the way it looked with Wilson grips when I stumbled onto it, years ago.
