BATFE actually gave AL residents a little bit of freedom back. They ruled that if you have an AL CCP issued in the last five yrs, you don't have to do a backround ck when purchasing a new gun.

    Well, it ain't all that great ... when NC and the BATF reached that agreement along with CHPs also serving for our Jim Crow Pistol Purchase Permits my wife about killed me because I just couldn't walk away from the LGS empty handed :jester:.

    Actually it is great! Just fill out the 4473 and the FFL copies your DL and CHP and bye bye ... no. Hence of the dreaded DELAYED.

    That would be awesome at a gunshow. Last weekend we had a gunshow here and I saw lots of folks sitting around waiting on a phone call to purchase a gun.
