Hesitate to post, but got my AI...

So my last two PCS assignments came after much juggling and cancelations. I think I went through 5 duty stations before I finally got orders to here when leaving Alaska. I think this one is going to stick unless another CSM comes in a trumps the CSM who by name requested me. So as it stands, I have been selected to be the Branch Chief for Training at my MOS School House in Fort Gordon.
While I am not excited to go to Training and Doctrine Command, if this CSM keeps his promise, I will be able to change the quality of training being given to privates in my MOS. To me, that is just as valuable as being in the fight. This also puts me back home and allows me to pursue my teaching certificate in the state of Georgia and start making connections in the schools systems. If the Army does not select me for promotion this year, I will begin my exit strategy. When I decided to go all for the long haul, I drew the line at 25 years. Win, lose, or draw 25 years is all the army is getting. Being selected for Sergeant major is a five year commitment. This being my 20th year it is the last chance I will give them. I know that sounds absurd and I am deselecting myself, but I refuse to hold on and be that senior NCO that no longer has any relevance. Heck as it is, I have been a MSG for 5 years now. I promoted the first eight way to fast.
So...in August, back to GA.
