So how do we recognize the attack in Belgium, but fail to notice or acknowledge the death of a Marine and wounding of other Marines in Iraq.

I would say we need a dose of Nationalism.

    It made the news over here;

    "US marine dies in Iraq Mosul rocket attack"

    Did not mention it, anticipated someone might pick it up.

    Our media controls how much information the American public is allowed. It's not an issue of not caring. When I was in the military, there used to be lots of surprising things printed in Stars and Stripes that the folks back home never heard about.

    You never see any reference to this, and you never will and never should! IMO this War with ISIS is providing our counterintel people excellent opportunities to fine tune methods and procedures for taking out individuals and small paramilitary groups. (That is, if the present Administration hasn't prohibited it, and it probably has!) Look at the opportunities at hand for individual and small group eradication! Very simple.....excellent training opportunity with minimal risks in application if handled right! My training/experience was all with operational and strategic intel operations, but if I were a young man I would welcome the opportunity to do counterintel work on this situation :usa:!

    Fox news carried that story here. Others may have made mention. It was headlines a few days ago. Not like the Brussels stuff though. And the primaries and all................

    That Marine was on the news here; but then, we have 3 Marine bases within 60 miles.

    When you read stories like Emory University, its refreshing just to drive through any Military installation and just take a moment to say hello
    and thank's. RIP Marine
