My God, Germany is on fire lately. First France, now Deutschland!

I'm only 68 years old, and I didn't live through WWII, but since I've been around I've been here, this is as bad as I've seen it.

I've got a cousin who is a cop in Germany who's been planning a vacation here for almost two years now and with all the problems that they're having with the refugees, he said that all vacations are cancelled until further notice.

Regarding the Dawson's Field hijackings: on 6 September 1970, that same day, my mom, sister and I were on Swissair 110, Geneva to NY. Heard about the SR100 hijacking when we arrived at JFK. There were 3 or 4 questionable passengers on our flight (not profiling or anything.......), my mom was on full alert.

I remember guarding a motor pool full of M-60 tanks and being told to be on the lookout for a possible attack by the Badder Meinhof Gang/Red Army Faction as they had thrown a fire bomb a few days earlier at a nearby US Kaserne, among other things.

That and three more subsequent tours in Germany always had a terrorist threat against the US from one group or the other. Most attacks back then were directed toward the US interests/their politicians/businessmen and not regular German civilians.

Shush, I wasn't including the war with the IRA. That went on a long time. But the on going conflict with ISIS and the other Radical Islamic Organizations hasn't seen as frequent attacks against the West as has been happening lately. It's almost once a week somewhere nowadays. And they aren't just doing it somewhere else. They're doing it almost weekly in our own cities.
