Wonder how 7shot with wads would work over say 30gr 3F out of a Walker repro....
I wouldn't use any shot larger than #9. The smaller shot loses energy fast and there's less risk of tearing up the area around your target. My .38 shotshells actually hold just over 100 pellets of #9 shot.
And a single or double game rifle in said calibre.
I am sure a native gun-bearer could be persuaded to take on the odorous task of carrying your prodigious weapon............................ until the shot presents itself.
A gas check is just a cup-shaped copper disc used on the base of cast bullets. They usually come in quantities of 1,000 anywhere reloading supplies are sold. Sometimes I run across a bargain price on Ebay.
They're not banned on Ebay. I bought some .44 gas checks there about a month ago and they're being offered currently. Do a search on Ebay and you'll see plenty.
Concealed carry is for protection, open carry is for attention.
Another bonus to the gas check method is that it adds another 2 projectiles to the mix. Sure, they ain't gonna go straight or far, but at rat/ snake range from a rifled barrel, it don't matter

I would think you would have the potential of lighting your quarry on fire at the distances that Buffy is shooting at.
Shot number two or three in a row could get interesting if enough grain dust is kicked up.

Could ramp up the charge to 55gr. I wonder if one were to lace the grain with tannerite...... There is no kill like overkill.
