Wife wanted to go to some garage sales today, I picked up a like new delta drill press 1/2" Jacobs chuck, zero run out industrial model for $100.00

    If that drill press has a Jacobs 33 taper on the drive spindle, Victor Machinery has a 5/8" capacity chuck that will swap out easily, and the price is right. I'm using one on my 24-speed Frankenstein drill press now. Once I find the time to do it, I'm about to machine an adapter to fit a 3/4" chuck with a Jacobs #3 taper to that same machine.

    Jerry, I didn't check it but I'm sure its a J-33, I gave the drill press to my cousin, he only does woodworking, if he needs a larger chuck I have some 5/8" Jacobs and Allbrlcht chucks I saved when I sold my shop.
