idea for portable target stands

Had some 4" metal plates (for pistol) laying around and some 3/8" square pipe leftover, cut that to different lengths and got some nuts and bolts and came up with this, I cut the pipe at an angle so it will be easy to drive into the ground and set them leaning to a side so they will stay at the end of the screw that holds them.
Take this 2 parts...

And you get this!

I got 5, there's a sixth disc somewhere and the hardware to set it up whenever it shows itself, great thing is that you can set them up at varios distances and positions and it is a piece of cake moving them around so you don't get bored of the same routine, they also take very little space to store and carry.
Feel free to "borrow" the idea for your personal use, I might start to sell this things, everyone at the range loves them!

Looks great man!
The correct term is "Appalachian Americans" :tooth:
And that idea is smart ... Is using 'em for 200, 300 or so rifle targets (your AR's) possible? That distance and the 5.56 round should be fine.

Those in particular are for pistol, 223 would go through them like butter, for that I got a couple of 8" and just got a 6" that I will by January's 3 gun match nail standing up offhand!
This ones we spread around, and practice transitions with the IPSC 9mm Glock up to 25 yards and further out with an AR fitted with a 22LR conversion kit.
Very nice! May need to do that for traditional handgun practicing:up:
Mine are not nearly as nice, but work for what I need.
This is my biggest target.
