Custom 1911

I just got back from the gunsmith who is going to be doing a custom 1911 for me. We're using a Springfield mil spec in stainless as the base for the forged frame. I'm doin custom paint and engraving. I can't wait to start showing pictures of the build!

    Okay, we've got the fluff (paint and engraving)... Now what are you doing about the guts? Sights, trigger, barrel, cartridge, grips, etc etc...

    We'll be standing by either way. Did you shoot the gun before you unleashed your 'smith on it? I was giving the SS Mil-Spec a look for my truck gun/ carry gun until Ruger came out with the SR1911 at so close of a price point.
