These nice people are coming to hold a remembrance on Saturday for a person was killed by a New Hanover Deputy after he had shot another LEO a few days prior. Then on Sunday they are going to march to bring awareness to the troubles of African Americans ... oh yeah and they are going to do it armed.

Be sure to watch the news this weekend and see how these fine upstanding people act.

Funny, wife and I plan to go shopping this weekend in Wilmington... Ha!!!

I predict 10 idiots surrounded by a bunch of police and no one giving a crap about it...

Yep, 15 to 20 at most out of town BPs is about what I'd expect but the wildcard is the remember Brandon Smith thing is Saturday in a housing project area. That appears to be their shot at stirring the local militants and thugs to get them to march with them. I am not sure the exact number but last summer in Houston they pulled one of these and had 15 to maybe 20 at most.

Funny how that works out in a 2nd. Amendment friendly state! Maybe these local folks aren't as dumb as the outside agitators think they are!

Why? These people are clearly not smart enough to not poop where they eat.

Maybe one of these dipshirts will make a threatening move towards the police, and they make the world a better place.

County sheriff or city PD head could just declare posse comitatus and have all able bodied citizens armed and lining ONE SIDE of the march route (to prevent crossfire). That would have a chilling effect on any rioting and undocumented shopping that might break out otherwise.

Interestingly enough open carry is VERY legal in NC. Carrying while protesting is NOT. You add 2+2 and that theoretically leaves you with a citizenry that if motivated enough COULD line the parade route with legally armed citizens starting at the face of a small group of criminals breaking the law on purpose... SOMEONE did not think this trough because I'm SURE there are a few NC good ol' boys with light bulbs going on over their heads this week...
You don't need to think to be a thug.....but maybe they should.

I am not a lawyer nor do I teach the NC CHP classes ... which you'd know more than me ... but the statute the WPD Chief is quoting
    G.S. 14-277.2 says:

“It shall be unlawful for any person participating in, affiliated with, or present as a spectator at any parade, funeral procession, picket line, or demonstration upon any private health care facility or upon any public place owned or under the control of the State or any of its political subdivisions to willfully or intentionally possess or have immediate access to any dangerous weapon. Violation of this subsection shall be a Class 1 misdemeanor. It shall be presumed that any rifle or gun carried on a rack in a pickup truck at a holiday parade or in a funeral procession does not violate the terms of this act.”

I guess that does apply to those who are demonstrating and those confronting the demonstrators but what about the ones who are just on the street shopping, dining, etc? Seriously, if a person is just going into a shop and a P0S poses a threat?

There also has been a little muscle flexing by Wilmington leaders including the DA ...

My office has received several press inquires regarding an announced march scheduled to take place in Wilmington this weekend. The right to gather and speak freely is a great American tradition and is enshrined in our First Amendment. The right to bear arms is protected by the Second Amendment. To ensure public safety, reasonable time, place, and manner restrictions are codified in N.C. Gen. Stat. 14- 277.2, which prohibits the possession of firearms under certain circumstances.

This statute will be enforced in this district without regard to the applicant who seeks to assemble or the viewpoints of that group. When the assembly is convened on public property, individuals are prohibited from possessing firearms while demonstrating or picketing without advanced permission. Anyone in violation of this statute will be prosecuted.

Wonder if the Wilmington/New Hanover Co folks will call out Animal Control to lock up the strays?

That's it, reactivate the 16 inch guns, the 20mm Oerlikons and 40mm Bofors on the USS North Carolina and wait.

Well the Saturday Memorial service for the victims of the po-po in the community center was a bust according to a friend. The counted less than a dozen people show up at the center and of those none were "of interest". The memorial people hung around for less than an hour and left.

Now the armed march show for 2 o'clock tomorrow will be real interesting since no BPs were spotted today ... wonder if the WPD and NHSD declawed them with the "it's illegal" threat?

Well the NHSD stepped up at the BP's "armed press conference" on the courthouse steps and informed them they were violating NC law by being on NC courthouse property armed ... canyounsay "doh" ... and they were going to seize their firearms. The BPs laid the firearms down and the NHSD took them to the sheriff's office where the BPs can pick them up tomorrow. I guess this means their march was unarmed by most if not all ...

ETA: now they are saying they will be back ...
Before law enforcement arrived, Muhammad said the RBPP’s plan for an armed event in Creekwood would be moved Sunday to private property on Dock Street after District Attorney Ben David and Wilmington Police Chief Ralph Evangelous said last week anyone armed during a demonstration on pubic property would be arrested under state law. Muhammad said he believes the law to be unconstitutional. He said his group will file suit to challenge it and plans to hold a larger event in Wilmington in the future that he says will draw hundreds of thousands of people from around the country and the world.

They got 25 today and he says "hundreds of thousands" ... this guy claims to be a doctor (as well as a firearms instructor) and thinks he can draw numbers like this? As Bugs would say ... what a maroon!

Hmmmm- - - - -looks like the "panthers" act more like another feline term that rhymes with "wussies" when they're looking at the business end of a few M-4's! Good call- - - - -put the toys down like good boys and go away quietly. I guess they couldn't find any voters to intimidate! Maybe they can borrow a few of those pink hats that were left over from the "women's march".

If the KKK (like the idiots did after Trump's win) had been marching there and wanted to be armed the NHSD and WPD would have done the same thing. The funny thing is the KKK march made headlines across the country while the BPs had "in other news". Liberal media loved twisting hints and associating the KKK with Trump but give the same type idiots on the opposite spectrum little grief.
